Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, is a village in Waukesha County. I-41 and state highways 145 and 175 cut through the northeast corner of the town. The village is nearly a square because it comprises almost all of the former township of Menomonee. Butler takes a bite out of the southeast corner and Lannon invades from the west. The Falls, as it is sometimes called locally, is bounded on the north by Germantown, on the east by Milwaukee, and on the south by Brookfield. The Falls has about 38,500 residents.

The settlement was inhabited by Indians early on. It was first called Nehsville for Frederich Nehs. I'm not sure how it came to be changed to Menomonee Falls. (The Menomonee River does run through the town.)
