West De Pere, Wisconsin, is located in Brown County just upstream on the Fox River from
Green Bay. It no longer exists as a separate entity.
Originally,
De Pere was only located on the east bank of the Fox. The township on the west bank eventually incorporated as West De Pere and was later changed to Nicolet (for Jean Nicolet). It later changed back to West De Pere and still later consolidated with De Pere in 1890. So, any precancels on stamps post-1890 must really be just favors.
