Marengo, Wisconsin, is located in Ashland County along state highway 13 about 10 miles south of
Ashland, which is on Lake Superior. It may have been named for Napoleon's Battle of Marengo. Why? Why not?
Its post office closed June 27, 2009. Sad day.
