Lake Mills

Lake Mills 713
Lake Mills, Wisconsin, is a city in Jefferson County at the intersection of I-94 and state highway 89 about 25 miles east of Madison. It has about 6200 residents.

It was first called Keyes Mills for Captain Joseph Keyes who built mills there. He had it changed to Lake Mills, but in 1870 it became Tyranena (an Indian name, meaning unknown to me) for just a year. After that, it was changed back to Lake Mills.
