Green Lake

Green Lake 713
Green Lake, Wisconsin, is a city in Green Lake County located on the northwestern shore of (Big) Green Lake where state highways 23 and 49 meet about 30 miles west of Fond du Lac. It has about 960 residents.

The original settler, Anson Dart, first came to the south side of Green Lake and started Green Lake Center, which today is Center House. Later he moved to the current site of the city which became known as Dartford (for Dart's ford there). After the railroad came, the names were changed to Green Lake and House Center as they are today.
