Elkhorn, Wisconsin, is a city in Walworth County along I-42 and US Highway 12 about 40 miles southwest of
Milwaukee. It has about 10,250 people. Colonel Samuel F. Phoenix spotted a rack of elk antlers in a tree one day (in 1836) and the name of the area was decided.
