Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, is a city of about 7300 located along I-94 in Dane County just east of Madison. It is considered a suburb of Madison, even though it's not adjacent to it.
One of the first settlers, William C. Wells, named the site for a grove of burr oaks near his first house...er, cottage.
