Bloomington, Wisconsin, is a village located along state highway 35 in Grant County. Its roughly 700 residents live almost 20 miles southeast of Prairie du Chien, which is on the Mississippi River.

It was originally named Tafton after a Mr. Taft. It was later changed because the locals first expressed an interest in Blooming Town, which was subsequently shortened to Bloomington.
