Black Creek, Wisconsin, is a village in Outagamie County that sits very roughly in the middle of the triangle formed by Shawano, Green Bay, and Appleton. At least, folks used to think it was close enough to the middle to call it Middleburg. The name was later changed to match the dark stream (Black Creek) that runs north of the town, which is located at the intersection of state highways 47 and 54. Today, Black Creek has about 1350 residents.
