Barronett, Wisconsin, like Barron, is also located in Barron County from which it derives its name. It was originally called Foster City. (Perhaps they should have stuck with the original to avoid confusion.) The approximately 110 people of Barronett live along US Highway 63 between Spooner to the north and Cumberland to the south in northwest Wisconsin. St. Croix Falls lies about 40 miles to the southwest.
