Bangor, Wisconsin, is a small town that lies between I-90 and the La Crosse River about 15 miles east of the city of La Crosse, which is on the Mississippi River. The La Crosse River State Trail runs through Bangor, which was named for Bangor, Wales, purportedly the oldest city in that country. Bangor has about 1450 residents.
