Baraboo, Wisconsin, is located where US Highway 12 and state highway 33 meet and is just north of Wisconsin's largest state park, Devil's Lake, in Polk County. About 12,500 people call Baraboo home. It's about 15 miles west-southwest of Portage.

Baraboo is known as Circus City because the Ringling Brothers Circus was established there in 1844. The name Baraboo may come from the Baribeau brothers who were earlier visitors to the area.
