Potter

Potter 712
Potter, Wisconsin, is a village in Calumet County about 5 miles south of Brillion, which is on US Highway 10. It has about 230 residents.

It was first named Muskratville - a name which I think should have stuck. For a time it was called Rantoul Center, but that was similar to another Rantoul elsewhere in the state. Such a place apparently no longer exists, though Potter is still in the Town of Rantoul. Captain Orin H. Potter later renamed it Potter Mills, which eventually was shortened to Potter.
