Blue River, Wisconsin, is a village in Grant County along state highway 133 on the south bank of the Wisconsin River about 35 miles northeast of Prairie du Chien, which is on the Mississippi River. Blue River has about 425 residents.

According to The Romance of Wisconsin Place Names, it was first called Minnehaha, but was renamed for a Mr. Blue. According to Google maps, the Blue River itself runs just east of, but not through, the village.
