Woodruff, Wisconsin, is located in Oneida County at the intersection of US Highway 51 and state highways 47 and 70 about 25 miles northwest of Rhinelander. It has just under 1000 residents. It was named (sorta) for the Woodruff-Macguire Company and therefore indirectly for George Woodruff.
