Wausaukee

Wausaukee 704
Wausaukee, Wisconsin, is a village in Marinette County at the intersection of US Highway 141 and state highway 180 about 30 miles northwest of Marinette, which is on Green Bay at the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan border. It has about 550 residents.

It was first called Big Wausaukee, but the Big was later dropped. No one knows why the name, which is Menominee for "river among the hills", was chosen.
