Vesper, Wisconsin, is a village in Wood County along state highway 186 about 10 miles northwest of Wisconsin Rapids. It has about 550 residents.

The settlement almost became Hardscrabble, but Vesper was chosen instead probably for the vesper sparrows that live in the area.
