Sherwood, Wisconsin, is a village in Calumet County located where state highways 55 and 114 meet. It is on the northeastern shore of Lake Winnebago about 10 miles southeast of
Appleton. It has about 3000 residents.
It was first called Lima, then Nicolai's Corners for Steven Nicolai. It was later changed to Sherwood for a Mr. Sherwood, a one-armed, Civil War veteran.
