Sauk City

Sauk City 713
Sauk City, Wisconsin, is a village in Sauk County on the western shore of the Wisconsin River where US Highway 12 and state highways 60 and 78 meet about 25 miles northwest of Madison. It is adjacent to Prairie du Sac to the north. It has about 3500 residents.

It seems it was originally called Széptáj and then Haraszthy (or Harszthy) for Count Augustine Haraszthy (pron. Hare-es-tee). The name was changed to Westfield and finally to Sauk City. Specific reasons aren't given, but you can probably guess them correctly.
