Rosholt, Wisconsin, is a village in Portage County along state highway 66 about 15 miles northeast of
Stevens Point. It has about 475 residents. It was named for John Gilbert Rosholt. (I don't know if the pronunciation includes an
s sound or an
sh sound in the middle.)
