Peshtigo, Wisconsin, is a city in Marinette County along US Highway 41 a couple miles west-southwest of Marinette, which is on Green Bay and the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan border. It has about 3400 residents.
The origins of the name are uncertain. It could come from one of several Indian terms or from the Menominee band called Pesh-tiko.
