Merrillan, Wisconsin, is a village in Jackson County at the intersection of US Highway 12 and state highway 95 about 10 miles north of Black River Falls.
The town was named for Leander G. Merrill (and his brother, Benjamin H. Merrill). They formed partnerships such as Merrill and Loomis, Merrill and Ice, and others. It was the "Merrill and" in these that suggested the name "Merrillan".
