Melrose, Wisconsin, is a village in Jackson County located where state highway 71 / 108 meets 54 about 30 miles northeast of
La Crosse, which is on the Mississippi River. It has about 475 residents.
The settlement was first called Bristol after the city in England. It was changed to Melrose for Melrose Abbey in Scotland.
