Land O' Lakes 734 |
The settlement has had various spellings, spacings, and capitalizations of its various names. It was first called State Line (also Stateline). Then it became Donaldson due to the Mason-Donaldson Lumber Company in the area. Later it reverted to State Line. Finally, at the suggestion of George St. Clair, it was called Land O' Lakes (also seen as Land O'Lakes and Land o' Lakes). To my knowledge, it has never been called "Land of Lakes". That would just be weird.
