Junction City, Wisconsin, is located in Portage County along US Highway 10 about 10 miles northwest of Stevens Point. It has about 440 residents.
The tracks of the Wisconsin Valley Railroad (north-south) and the Wisconsin Central Railroad (east-west) met at this point. The settlement was first simply called Junction, but the residents changed it to Junction City when it incorporated.
