Deronda

Deronda 745

Deronda, Wisconsin, is a tiny settlement in Polk County about 3 miles west of Amery and about 15 miles southeast of St. Croix Falls. The few buildings found there are at the intersection of 130st Street (County PP) and 65th Avenue (County F). The Stower Seven Lakes Trail runs through the area.

The name of the place was suggested by Lucina Sylvester, daughter of an early settler (Abe), who was reading George Eliot's Daniel Deronda at the time when a name was needed.
