Clintonville, Wisconsin, is located at the intersection of US Highway 45 and state highway 22 in Waupaca County about 40 miles west of Green Bay. About 4600 people live there.

The site may originally have been known as Pigeon. (Pigeon Lake is adjacent to the city.) It was named for the first white settlers - Norman Clinton and his family.
