Clinton, Wisconsin, is a village along state highway 140, just south of I-43, in Rock County. It lies about 5 miles from Beloit, as well as about 5 miles from the Illinois border (via 140). The population of Clinton is about 2200. It was probably named after Governor De Witt Clinton of New York.
