Bowler, Wisconsin, was named for Colonel J. C. Bowler who owned land in the area. It's a village in Shawano County between Shawano to the east-southeast and Wausau to the west. Bowler is just north of state highway 29 but is not on any major roadways. County roads A and D meet in the center of the town of about 300 people.
