Belleville, Wisconsin, is located on the border of Dane and Green counties where state highway 69 meets state highway 92 and is about 20 miles south of Madison. The Sugar River runs through the village of about 2500 people. It was founded by John Frederick who named it after his hometown of Belleville, Ontario.
