Beetown

Beetown, Wisconsin, is a tiny, unincorporated place in Grant County at the intersection of state highway 81 and county U, about 8 miles northeast of Cassville, which is on the Mississippi River. The population is unknown, but it is sure to be tiny as well. In 1827, Cyrus Alexander for a large block of lead under a bee tree, so he called it bee lead. This led to the settlement being called Beetown.
