Today, April 2, 2023, I updated almost five dozen of the pictures of precancels previous posted here. Most of them were far too blurry to keep. I don't want us to ruin our eyes while looking at them.
Some of them were sharp enough but the colors looked really faded, so they got replaced as well.
There are more that could use updating, and I'll get to them sometime too, but at least I've taken care of the worst offenders for now.
I also have acquired roughly 150 more precans to add to this site. They'll take a fair amount of time to process, and I'll have to get The Romance of Wisconsin Place Names from the library again, but that's the fun of putting all this together. Right? (If you're a collector - of anything - I'm sure you're nodding your head and smiling about now.)
I'll probably post another post here after every major update.
