Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, located in Adams, Columbia, Juneau, and Sauk counties. I-90, US Highway 12, and state highways 13, 16, and 23 all run through the area. It lies about 15 miles west of Portage and has about 3000 residents.
It was first named Kilbourn for Byron Kilbourn but was renamed for the geography of the area. Locally (and perhaps even further away) it is known simply as The Dells.
