Star Prairie, Wisconsin, is a village in St. Croix County along state highway 65 about 20 miles northeast of Hudson, which is on the St. Croix River. It has about 550 residents.
It was first called Jewelltown for Trueworthy and Thomas Jewell, brothers who first settled the area. It was later changed to this more...poetic version.
