Spencer, Wisconsin, is a village in Marathon County at the intersection of state highways 13 and 98 about 8 miles northwest of Marshfield. It has about 1875 residents.
It was first named Waltham (reason unknown) and then Irene for Irene Robinson. It was later changed to Spencer for Spencer, Massachusetts.
