Slinger, Wisconsin, is a village in Washington County. I-41 and state highways 60, 164, and 175 run through the area about 30 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Slinger has about 6000 residents.
It was originally called Schleisingerville after Baruch Schleisinger Weil, but since that was apparently too long for some locals, it became shortened to Slinger. 'Muricans!
