Siren, Wisconsin, is a village in Burnett County at the intersection of state highways 35 and 70 about 35 miles northeast of
St. Croix Falls, which is on the St. Croix River, a border between Wisconsin and Minnesota. Siren has about 775 residents.
Charles F. Segerstrom, postmaster, submitted the name Syren, which is Swedish for "lilac", but the approved name returned was spelled Siren.
