Silver Lake, Wisconsin, is a former village (though, as of this writing, Google maps still recognizes it as its own entity) and now a neighborhood within Salem Lakes (as of 2017) near state highway 83 about 15 miles west of Kenosha, which is on Lake Michigan. It has about 2400 residents (as of 2010). It was supposedly named for the look of the waters - probably on a good day.
