Kenosha, Wisconsin, is located on Lake Michigan in Kenosha County. I-41 / 94 and state highways 31, 32, and 50 all pass through the area. Kenosha has about 100,000 residents.
Potawatomi villages were first called Kenosha (meaning "pike" or "pickerel") here. Later it was called Pike and then Southport before reverting to Kenosha.
