Seymour 812 |
Seymour, Wisconsin, is a city in Outagamie County at the intersection of state highways 54 and 55 about 5 miles west of Green Bay. It has about 3450 residents.
It may have first been called Squeedunk. It was named for Governor Horatio Seymour of New York.
It's surprising that, for all the rejected duplicate city names, there are still 3 Seymours in the state. The others are in Eau Claire and Lafayette counties.
