New Richmond

New Richmond 713
New Richmond, Wisconsin, is a city in St. Croix County at the intersection of state highways 64 and 65 about 15 miles northeast of Hudson, which is on the St. Croix River. New Richmond has about 10,000 residents.

It was first called Foster's Crossing after B. C. Foster. It was changed to Richmond after Richmond Day, the man who surveyed the town. The "New" portion was added because there already was a Richmond east of Janesville.
