Lodi, Wisconsin, is a city in Columbia County along state highway 113 about 20 miles north of Madison. It has about 3200 residents.
Lodi may be named for Lodi, Italy, or Lodi, New York. It may also, more fancifully, have been named by Judge Isaac Palmer who declared the area the "idol of my eye". "Idol" reversed is "Lodi".
