Hixton, Wisconsin, is a village in Jackson County at the intersection of I-94 and state highway 95 about 10 miles northwest of Black River Falls. It has about 425 residents.
The settlement was first called Williamsport, probably after Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Later the name changed to Pole Grove (reason unknown). It was called Hixton (Hick's Town) after John L. Hicks.
