Hillsboro, Wisconsin, is a city in Vernon County where state highways 80 and 82 meet about 20 miles southwest of
Mauston. It has a population of about 1400. It was named for Vilentia Hill (and his 2 brothers, William and Alonzo) and was first spelled Hillsborough.
