Hager City, Wisconsin, is located in Pierce County near the intersection of US Highway 63 and state highway 35 near the Mississippi River (across from Red Wing, Minnesota) and about 35 miles south-southeast of
Hudson. It has about 330 residents. Little - okay, nothing really - is known about the origin of the name other than that it may have originally been called Hager Chatfield.
