Glenwood City, Wisconsin, is located in St. Croix County at the intersection of state highways 128 and 170 about 35 miles east-northeast of Hudson, which is on the St. Croix River due east of Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota. It has about 1200 residents.
It seems to be named for the Glenwood Manufacturing Company, but that feels backward. The term Glenwood probably came from the settlement being in a wooded glen, but that's just my guess. Little info is available online.
