Glen Haven, Wisconsin, is located in Grant County on the Mississippi River about 25 miles south of Prairie du Chien. County V runs into the settlement.

It was first called Stump Town, then Ray's Landing after Richard Ray (and his brothers). George Burroughs, after declining to have it renamed for him, suggested it be named "after the glens of Scotland [his home] and the haven so like heaven nestled between the bluffs and wooded hills."
