Dalton, Wisconsin, is located along state highway 44 in Green Lake County about 15 miles northeast of Portage. It's population is about 200.
Dalton was named after the John Dalton family who were early settlers. It may be specifically named for Mrs. Dalton (Jeanette Blackwood) who reportedly sold land for a station to the railroad.
