Collins

Collins 712

Collins, Wisconsin, is located at the intersection of county roads W and JJ in Manitowoc County about 15 miles west of Manitowoc, which is on Lake Michigan. About 160 people live in Collins. The Collins Marsh State Wildlife Area (many times larger than Collins itself) is just to the east.

The village was supposed to be called Valleskey after Gustave Valleskey, but he didn't like the idea. It was named instead for Sumner J. Collins.
