Brownsville, Wisconsin, was first known as Thetis Station. In 1878 was named for Alfred D. Brown who had come to the area several decades before. It is located in Dodge County on state highway 49 just west on I-41, south of Fond du Lac, which is on the southern shore of Lake Winnebago. It has a population of about 580.
